The Colorado River flows through some of the most pristine and untouched wilderness in the United States. This river will go on to carve out the Grand Canyon and the steep caverns of Lake Powell.
Most of the summer the Colorado River will likely be your closest and best rafting option from Steamboat Springs. This is the perfect option for the entire family ages 3+. This beginner-friendly scenic rafting trip is about 1 hour South of town and offers some splashy Class II/-III white water.

We meet our guests right on the Colorado River for rafting trips from Steamboat – it’s about 1 hour South of town. We will drive you a short distance up river in our vans – usually 10 – 25 minutes depending on trip length. We will get everyone geared up and give a short but thorough safety speech and we will raft right back down to your car.
We are a smaller company, we wont trek guests around in uncomfortable buses and we do our best to ensure you and your group won’t feel lost in a crowd. Reservations are required and advance reservations are encouraged since we can book up.
If your group is looking for more intermediate white water rafting from Steamboat Springs we offer trips on the Eagle River during the spring run-off seasons (May June). We meet our guests on the Eagle river About 1.5 hours South of Steamboat on the Eagle River.

Depending on water levels, this section of the Colorado River is more of a wilderness float trip, with a few splashy class II and small class III rapids – just enough to make everyone laugh and shout.
If you have some adventurous folks in your group, we offer two-man inflatable kayaks (duckies) at no extra charge. Duckies can really make things more interesting and challenging. They follow the larger guided rafts down river, we all stay in a group, and there will be an opportunity to switch between the larger raft and the ducky. Duckies are limited depending on river flows and availability. We try our best to have at least one available for every reservation. (You can look at the river and decide if you’d like to take an inflatable kayak once you arrive).

The Eagle River is one of Colorado’s last truly untamed & un-dammed rivers in the state.
