COVID-19 Response

On June 04, 2020 The State of Colorado released new guidelines for Outdoor Recreation which can be found here
We are thrilled to announce we are currently accepting regularly scheduled rafting reservations starting 6/15/20. If you would like to schedule a custom private trip please call us at 1-970-875-4494. Please note; we have limited our trip sizes, so we are booking up quickly.
Colorado River Guides is currently working diligently to maintain and implement all local, state, and federal social distancing guidelines. Our primary concern has always been the safety of our guests and staff. To view a current copy of our Social Distancing Protocol required by Eagle County Click Here. For a more detailed description of our COVID-19 response please take a look below.

What Can You Expect From Us?

By limiting the sizes of our trips, we can ensure we are adhering to social distancing protocols enacted by local, state, and federal agencies. We are also offering completely private trips for groups that would prefer a totally private experience. If you are interesting in a private custom trip please give us a call at 1-970-875-4494.
Limiting vehicle capacity is just another way we ensure the integrity of enacted social distancing protocols. It's important to note; we have always met our guests right on the river. This means, you spend a very limited amount of time in our vehicles. However, the river still doesn't run in a circle, and we will need to transport guests either up river at the beginning of your river trip (and float you back to your car), or at the end of the rafting trip (back to your vehicle).
We will be using a disinfectant solution to clean all of our high-touch equipment and vehicles. If you have questions about whats in our disinfectant please email us at reservations@raftcolorado.com
Hand Sanitizer will be available for guests and employees when entering vehicles. Remember there aren't a lot of services such as running water etc. on the river and we encourage our guests to bring whatever supplies they may need to feel comfortable (within reason), this can include a non-medical cloth face covering (which doubles fantastic sun protection).
All employees will follow Eagle County latest public health order which includes daily symptom checks. These symptom checks will be conducted before the start of the work day. All employees have been instructed to not come to work, are encouraged to isolate, and contact their health providers if they are symptomatic. All employees have been made aware that diagnostic COVID testing is available in their area.
Employees who need to work in close proximity to guests and other employees will wear a non-medical, cloth face covering, as mandated by Eagle County's latest public health order until instructed to do otherwise by a regulartory agency. Unless the covering actively interferes with a situation in which the covering presents a potential hazard.
This year we have a COVID-19 specific liability waiver that guests will need to sign. The goal of this waiver is to protect both participant's and Colorado River Guides. Simply put, A COVID specific waiver was one of the best ways to help us address the new and unique changes our industry has experienced this rafting season. If you have any questions about this waiver email us at reservations@raftcolorado.com.

At this time we ask our guests

Please maintain patience and flexibility, this is a confusing time for everyone. We are all learning a whole new meaning to the term 'go with the flow'!
That's totally okay! We understand, please call us and let us know whats going on. Give us a call or shoot us an email and we can go over any questions or concerns you have. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy, if something happens and you need to change your plans let us know as soon as possible so we can so we can help you make other arrangements.
Maintain 6ft of social distance whenever possible. People tend to social distance automatically from people who are actively using spray-sunscreen. Jokes aside, we're all here to have a great day on the river, as long as everyone is aware of their surroundings we shouldn't have a problem.
If you, or anyone in your group thinks they may be experiencing symptoms please stay home. Please understand we are not medical professionals and cannot give you any medical advice other than; being sick on vacation is a bummer, and isn't fun for anyone. If you think you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms which can range from subtle to severe, call your doctor. If you have a rafting trip booked call us and we will cancel your trip. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy and we understand things happen.

Testimonials

Fun Trip With Raft & Ducky!

"The Colorado River Guides team is the best. They accommodated our small family group and gave us a great guide. We had a wonderful time on the river, with part of the group in the raft with (the guide) and my dad and I piloting a ducky with my 6 and 9 year old kids rotating in and out of the ducky during the trip. Lots of fun with a great guide in a nice easy section of the Colorado perfect for a family with young kids. We're definitely coming back and will plan on the more challenging white water trips when the kids get older. Thanks!"
-Jared M.

Great Rafting Trip with our Kids

"We were staying in Steamboat and wanted to avoid going back via Kremmling. Looked up rafting companies in the area and phoned a few. Brenda returned my call and was happy to have Paul take us on a trip the next morning. Driving down hwy 131 was scenic! It was a beautiful Colorado day on the beautiful Colorado River. Our wildlife sightings: 3 different bald Eagles, a muskrat, and a mink near the water. It was a safe trip to take our 2 Kids(both 7). Our kids really enjoyed having Lucy (Paul & Brenda's dog) along for the ride and enjoyed playing fetch with her. Thank you for a wonderful trip!"
-Liz, Ian, John and Sophia

Super Family Trip

"This is our second year to raft with Colorado River Guides, and just as much fun as the first. As a family of four, we chose to take two ducky boats (inflatable two person kayaks) with an adult and kid (9 and 12 year old boys) in each one. We loved being close to the water, getting wet on the rapids, but still having the guides right there to make sure we were taking the best path through the water. Great guides, emailed directions made it easy to get there, a nd the super mascot, Xena the amazing Golden Retriever! We would strongly recommend them for a family raft!"

Absolutely Awesome Day!

"I've white water rafted several rivers and had actually done the Eagle a few years ago. But the water today was Absolutely Awesome! Our guide was Paul. He is one of the best guides I've ever been with. He made all of us feel comfortable! I didn't think I would ever be able to make another white water trip but Paul made my dreams come true today. We took our 14 year old grandson on his first adventure and he loved it. Paul put my husband, grandson, and myself right at ease. He taught us the history, and geology, of the river all along the way. The rapids are perfect right now. Plenty of excitement for young or old. Thanks Paul for making my dream come true. Would recommend this for anyone wanting to try whitewater rafting."
