Introducing Our Crew

Shane
Shane has lived in Colorado for upwards of 16 years. Originally from Missouri, Shane like many, came to Colorado for the winter, and stayed for the summer. Shane’s enthusiasm for whitewater rafting, hydrology & natural history is contageous. He brings almost 2 decades of experience guiding whitewater rafting trips across the United States.
Now, he is the glue that holds us all together. You can typically find Shane working along side our guides to ensure our trips are safe and enjoyable for all of our guests. He also trains and works directly with our Customer Satisfaction Engineers (Pickles & Ruby) on a daily basis. Shane has experience managing and growing one of the largest whitewater rafting companies in Colorado, he quickly learned he prefers providing more personalized experiences that only smaller companies like CRG can provide.

Chelsea
Chelsea grew up on the river rafting with her family. Before she was born, her family decided to take their passion for the river and share it with others, thus began CRG.
Growing up you could find Chelsea running around on the river banks or swimming/paddling along on rafting trips. Today, you can usually find her still on the river or in the office. She loves spending her free time rafting with Ruby & Pickles, CRG’s customer satisfaction engineers/golden retrievers. During the winter she loves to knit and work with sustainably sourced natural fibers. Check out some of the things she makes at https://pricklypearknitwear.com/

Dana
Dana has worked with CRG for right around 20 years. Guiding on the river has always been her passion. She brings joy and excitement to every single river trip she’s on. Over the years Dana has worn many hats for us at CRG. From baking homemade chocolate chip cookies for our full day river trips, to taking photos, to ensuring our guides are trained and up to date with the latest first aid safety standards. She still prefers being out on the river with our guests and brings that same exceptional energy to every single guest experience.
During the off season you can find Dana working at Starting Hearts in Vail, a non-profit helping save the lives of sudden cardiac arrest victims through CPR training,

Pickles & Ruby
Customer Satisfaction Engineers
Please mention your interest in meeting the Customer Satisfaction Engineers when booking your reservation and we will try our best to accommodate your request. We have many families and groups request them year after year. However, some of our guests would prefer they stay home, or have allergies. If that’s the case, they will not come, they are returned to the office to take a cool nap in the shade. It’s also important to note – somedays the pups would rather take naps in the office or the sunshine and enjoy a few days of R&R. We let them decide their schedule. Must be nice, right?

Paul & Brenda
Founders
You can find Paul out on the River almost everyday. Brenda can usually be found out on a trail ride with her mules & pups.

Shawn
Shawn started guiding with CRG in 2011. He still joins us out on the river here and there throughout the summer. He now primarily guides in Utah & Colorado.

Brian & Travis Poulin
This dynamic duo came into our lives and helped us build a community we depend on daily. Travis began his guiding career over 12 years ago. He has helped CRG grow & succeed over the last 6 years. His father Brian, a true star in his own right, lives in Maine but is typically only a phone call away anytime we need a helping hand.
